Singers and musicians are cultural icons, with their fashion choices, award wins and music videos defining so many different eras and decades. But just how well do you know some of the most famous and iconic musicians?
It’s time to find out! Below are eight images of world-famous musician’s houses (well, how we’d imagine them to be!). See if you can spot the clues and figure out which home belongs to which singer or band… good luck (you might need it!).
This singer hails from Virginia in the USA, is known for exclusively wearing baseball caps and big hoops and wants you to get your freak on.
Missy Elliott. Clues include hometown state of Virginia, the Under Construction album title, four GRAMMY awards, baseball cap fashion, robot from Lose Control lyrics, Mars plant from a video clip for Sock it 2 Me, a big fly from Supa Dupa Fly album, socks from Sock it 2 Me song, ‘work it’ flipped and reversed.
You’ll probably find a Justin Bieber poster and white bed sheets in this singer’s bedroom, as well as some leftover hair dye, and a whole lot of Gucci.
Billie Eilish. Clues include seven GRAMMY awards, 10,000 Hours written above the door, red ladder from the Don’t Smile at Me cover, Ocean Eyes song, Billie’s Bury a Friend illustration, a rain cloud from the ‘Lovely’ video, spider on a crown, black tears from When the Party’s Over, and the green gender graphic.
A winner of four GRAMMY awards, this talented guitarist doesn’t even need a backing band. You might think this artist is into maths, given the titles of their albums.
Ed Sheeran. Clues include a Game of Thrones reference, guitar, Castle on a Hill song, Lego house, maths symbols, four GRAMMY awards, outline of a ketchup bottle logo and the image is inside a photograph.
This Canadian singer definitely has a thing for mirrors and lights – if that isn’t enough of a clue, then maybe a bottle of YSL Black Opium will give them away?
The Weeknd. Clues include three GRAMMY awards (broken), Star Boy in the sky, Black Panther, NFL football, balloons for the House of Balloons album, hills, Daft Punk helmets, neon sign and a Canadian flag.
This singer has won a pile of GRAMMYs and has a penchant for engagement rings and lemonade. Plus, their Coachella headline performance was legendary.
Beyoncé. Clues include a Coachella sign, beehive, 28 GRAMMY awards, Lemonade, fast cars, Austin Powers reference, Drunk in Love bottles, a baseball bat and yellow dress from Holdup MV, and a box to the left.
This band was made up of four absolute champions, with the lead singer working an iconic look of a white vest, pair of blue jeans, and an armband.
Queen. Clues include championship podium and trophies for We are the Champions, cats because Freddie loved them, highlander swords, Flash Gordan, bicycle, Rami Malek’s Oscar, stop sign with ‘don’t’, a telescope as Brian May has a PhD in Astrophysics, clouds in the shape of the four singers in the Bohemian Rhapsody video, I Want to Break Free video reference, a radio and a baby for Radio Ga Ga, two GRAMMY awards and a Live Aid reference.
Hailing from Liverpool, this iconic band love having the same haircuts, and are perhaps most famously known for *that* picture of them walking across a zebra crossing.
The Beatles. Clues include a blackbird, piggies, a yellow submarine, a marmalade sky with diamonds, a white mansion the same colour as John Lennon’s, seven GRAMMY awards, one Academy Award, zebra crossing for Abbey Road, a Walrus in person’s clothes, the number nine house and beetle door knocker.
Possibly found standing in a line to see a show, this band’s drummer has more than a passing resemblance of Will Ferrell.
Red Hot Chili Peppers. Clues include the house being under a bridge, both cars from Dani California, chili peppers, HOLLYWOOD sign, a stop sign from Can’t Stop, a washing line with nothing but 4 socks on, three GRAMMY wins and the iconic guitar they use with a give it away now reference.
