While Southern Cross Travel Insurance doesn’t cover pre-existing medical conditions automatically, you may be able to get cover after completing a medical assessment and listing any medical conditions you have. They will then assess whether they can offer you cover; if they can, this may incur an additional premium if you accept their offer.

It’s also important to note that pregnancy isn’t considered a pre-existing condition and is covered automatically up to 24 weeks of gestation; however, if you’ve had pregnancy complications in the past, you would need to declare these as pre-existing conditions if you wish to have them covered. SCTI will then assess whether they can offer you cover; if they can, this may incur an additional premium if you accept their offer.
