How do we make money?
We don’t charge our customers a dime to use our comparison service. Instead, we receive a commission from the insurers we partner with each time one of our customers takes out a new travel insurance policy after completing a quote through our website. This means the price of travel insurance will cost the same as going direct! More details about our fees can be found in our Financial Services Guide.
We pride ourselves on the integrity of our comparison service, so it is critically important to us that the way we make money doesn’t affect the way we compare and present products from our range of partner insurers.
How does our comparison service work?
Choosing the right travel insurance policy is often difficult and time consuming. Our comparison service aims to make that process faster and easier to give our customers peace of mind that they have made a decision that works for them.
On our website, our customers can enter details about themselves and their travel plans, then browse through the suitable policies that are available to them. Once they have chosen a policy that they wish to purchase, they will then be taken to the relevant travel insurer’s website, through a link on our website, to make the application.
The comparison service and any other information provided on our website is factual information or general advice only. That means that we don’t make personal recommendations and suggestions, or give advice about the suitability of a particular insurance product for a customer’s specific needs. Rather, we encourage our customers to evaluate their personal needs, objectives and situation to determine which products are suitable for them while using our comparison service as a helpful tool. More information can be found in our Financial Services Guide.
What brands and products do we compare?
We currently compare products from the following travel insurance brands:
There will be times when certain brands are not available, or do not return any quotes to a customer. That might be for commercial or technical reasons, for example, it might be that the customer does not meet the underwriting criteria or isn’t eligible for particular products.
Furthermore, most of our partners have temporarily suspended selling travel insurance due to COVID-19 travel restrictions. As travel restrictions ease, we’ll be able to display more products from our partners.
