About Insure4less

Insure4less is an Australian-owned travel insurance provider with policies issued through the world’s largest insurance market, Lloyd’s of London. With a 300-year history behind them, Lloyd’s has one of the highest financial strength ratings of all insurance providers across the globe, so you know you’re in safe hands.

The team at Insure4less have not only arranged travel insurance for over 2 million travellers, but they have also paid out more than $40 million in claims.

In addition to a 14-business day money-back guarantee, all successful claims will be paid within 10 business days.

Insure4less travel insurance options

Insure4less offer a range of travel insurance options, so you can choose the policy that best meets your needs. These policy options are available for both single trips and as annual multi-trip plans. Make sure you always read the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) for the full details of your cover, including benefits, exclusions and policy limits.

Medical-only

A medical-only policy will cover you for emergency medical expenses you incur while overseas, including repatriation, evacuation and emergency dental treatment up to the limits noted in your PDS.

Basic

Basic travel insurance from Insure4less includes policy staples like emergency medical treatment, baggage cover, cancellation costs and legal liability cover (should you cause injury or damage to someone when overseas). It also includes further cover for:

  • Missed departures and connections
  • Personal effects and valuables (e.g. mobile phones, jewellery)
  • Legal advice and fees (if you or your family seek compensation for your injury or death overseas).

Mid-range

Insure4less’ mid-range travel insurance includes everything covered by both their medical-only and basic policies, but with higher claim limits and further benefits. This means that as well as being covered for medical treatment, lost or stolen luggage, cancellations and legal liability, you can also be insured for:

  • Lost or stolen tickets, passports and money
  • Accidental death or disability while overseas
  • Travel delays and curtailments
  • Rental car excess.

Comprehensive

A comprehensive travel insurance policy includes the same benefits as the lower levels of cover from Insure4less and again has higher limits than a mid-range policy. Other benefits that you might find in a comprehensive policy include:

  • Cover for travel carrier insolvency
  • Trip resumption costs (i.e. resuming your trip after it was cut short by things like repatriation or a death in your family back home)
  • Search, rescue and recovery expenses
  • Costs of alternative arrangements if your travel or accommodation is affected by a catastrophe.

  • A range of pre-existing medical conditions are automatically covered or eligible for cover with an additional cost.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get insurance if I have a pre-existing medical condition?

Insure4less travel insurance covers a range of medical conditions with no additional cost to your policy, while some higher-risk conditions may attract an extra premium. If you have a serious medical condition, Insure4less may not cover claims relating to or resulting from this health issue.

When taking out a policy with Insure4less, enter your travel details and provide some background information about your medical condition. Insure4less will then inform you whether your condition is covered.

Does Insure4less cover groups of travellers?

If you’re travelling in a group of people – perhaps as a family, business trip or school tour – you can cover all members of your party under the one insurance policy. This way, everyone in your group is insured for the same things, and you only have to remember one set of insurance details rather than multiple.

I’m a frequent traveller; can Inure4less cover all my trips?

If you travel multiple times within a 12-month period, Insure4less offers annual or multi-trip travel insurance. Rather than taking out separate insurance for each trip, this kind of insurance can cover all your trips under one policy. Check your PDS for the terms, conditions and limits of this cover.

How do I take out cover if I’m already overseas?

Once you’ve already left Australia, it can be difficult to get travel insurance. However, Insure4less can provide you with cover whether your previous policy expired, you’ve been based overseas and are returning home or even if you simply forgot to take out insurance before embarking on your trip.

When taking out travel insurance overseas, you’ll need to set your return date to Australia as the end of your policy. You may also find that you won’t be covered for the first 48 hours after getting insurance.

Can I get cruise cover with Insure4less?

Unlike many insurance providers, Insure4less automatically includes cruise cover in their policies. If you’re travelling on a cruise around Australian domestic waters, select that option as your destination when taking out your policy.
