Changes to my purchase or cancelled products

I’ve received an email that says I’ve cancelled my Eligible Product, but I haven’t. What do I do?

Please contact our Meerkat Mondays Customer Support Team at [email protected] or call 1800 633 7528, and we’ll work to pinpoint the issue. You’ll need to tell us as much of the following information as possible to help this process:

  • your policy number
  • your correct email address
  • date of quote
  • date of sale.

What happens if I cancel my Eligible Product? Am I still a Meerkat Mondays Member?

Your Meerkat Mondays Membership will end if you cancel your Eligible Product. We will notify you via email if you have cancelled your product and will give you seven business days to raise a dispute if you feel we’ve made an error.

What happens if I make changes to the product I’ve purchased?

If you have made changes to your purchase, there is no impact to your Meerkat Mondays Membership. For example, if you add a partner onto a health insurance policy, this would not impact your Meerkat Mondays Membership.

Entries to play the weekly Meerkat Mondays game

If I purchase multiple products from the same category in one transaction, how many entries do I get?

If you purchase multiple products from the same Eligible Product category (e.g. health insurance) in one transaction, you receive one entry as a Meerkat Mondays Member.

So, if you were to purchase both a hospital and an extras policy (both of which fall under the health insurance category) in one transaction, you’ll receive one entry. This means you can play our weekly game once each Monday and you have one entry into any Major Prize Draw that occurs during your membership.

How soon after making a purchase will I be able to participate in Meerkat Mondays?

After you make an Eligible Purchase through Compare the Market, it will typically take 24-48 hours before you’ll receive your entry email saying you’re ready to participate.

I compared products through Compare the Market, but I purchased directly on the provider’s site. How do I play?

You must purchase through Compare the Market to participate in Meerkat Mondays; this includes both completing your purchase on the Compare the Market website or by following the link from our website to complete your purchase with the provider. If you instead purchase through a provider’s site directly, we cannot verify your eligibility to join Meerkat Mondays.

I have entries to play, but the game isn’t loading when I press ‘Play Now’. Why?

Is it Monday? Remember, you can only play on Mondays. Otherwise, if you’re unable to launch the game, there may be an error on our end. Please contact our Meerkat Mondays Customer Support at [email protected] or call 1800 633 7528

What happens if I don’t use my entries to play every Monday?

You will lose chances to win if you don’t play every Monday during your Meerkat Mondays Membership. As such, don’t forget to play every Monday so that you don’t miss out!

What happens if I didn’t receive my entry email?

You will receive your entry email up to 48 hours after your Eligible Purchase.

If, after this period, you haven’t received this email, please reach out to the Meerkat Mondays Customer Support Team at [email protected] or call 1800 633 7528, detailing the product you purchased and when you bought it. Then, we can work out when you should receive your entry email, or if there has been an error.

Resolution of these issues can be turned around within a week of raising the issue with the Meerkat Mondays Customer Support Team.

My Meerkat Mondays dashboard says I have zero entries to play. Why?

There could be a few reasons why your dashboard is showing zero entries.

  1. You haven’t yet made an Eligible Purchase. Compare and purchase an Eligible Product to get started.
  2. Your purchase is still being finalised. If you have made an Eligible Purchase, it’s possible that it’s still being finalised. Once it’s finalised, we’ll send you an email to say that you’re ready to participate in Meerkat Mondays. Typically, it will take up to 48 hours from when you made your purchase to receive this email. To be sure, check your inbox for our email that says you’re now ready to participate in Meerkat Mondays. Please also check your spam and junk folders. If you can’t find this email, you may be using a different email address.
  3. You’re using the incorrect email address. You need to log into your dashboard with the same email address you used when you obtained a quote for the product that you purchased through our service. Otherwise, you won’t see your entries.
  4. Your Meerkat Mondays Membership has expired. If your Meerkat Mondays Membership has expired, you’ll need to purchase another Eligible Product to get an entry to play Meerkat Mondays.

Do life insurance and income protection products fall under the same category for Meerkat Mondays?

For the purpose of Meerkat Mondays, we consider life insurance and income protection as two separate Eligible Product categories. So, if you were to purchase one life insurance product and one income protection product in the same transaction, you would receive two entries as a Meerkat Mondays Member.

However, if you were to, say, purchase multiple life insurance products in the same transaction (e.g. life insurance and trauma cover), you’d receive one entry.

Below is how we classify life and income protection products for the purpose of providing Meerkat Mondays access:

  • life insurance products: life, life (all occupations), total and permanent disability (TPD), trauma and child cover; and
  • income protection insurance products: income protection, income protection (all occupations) and business expenses.

I’ve purchased an Eligible Product but used the incorrect email. How do I still play Meerkat Mondays?

Please contact our Meerkat Mondays Customer Support Team at [email protected] or call 1800 633 7528 and mention the product you purchased and when you purchased it. Then, our team will work to try to verify your purchase and your eligibility to join Meerkat Mondays.

Resolution of these issues can be turned around within a week of you raising the issue with the Meerkat Mondays Customer Support Team.

What if I need to change my email address?

If you need to change your email, you’ll need to contact the Meerkat Mondays Customer Support Team at [email protected] or call 1800 633 7528.

Why can’t I log into my Meerkat Mondays dashboard?

You may not be able to log in for several reasons.

You’ve purchased an Eligible Product but have yet to create your Meerkat Mondays Membership account. Once we verify your purchase, we’ll email you to say you’re ready to join Meerkat Mondays.

You’re a Meerkat Mondays Member, but you’re trying to log in using the wrong email address. Ensure you’re logging in with the same email address that you entered when you obtained a quote for the product that you purchased through us. Once your purchase has been finalised, we’ll send you an email to this email address to say you’re ready to participate in Meerkat Mondays.

If you can’t see this email in your inbox, make sure you check your junk and spam folders. If it’s still not there, you will need to contact our Meerkat Mondays Customer Support Team at [email protected] or call 1800 633 7528.

Participating in Meerkat Mondays

If I purchase multiple products from the same category in one transaction, how many entries do I get?

If you purchase multiple Eligible Products from us, you’ll have more chances to win each Monday. You’ll also have more chances to win in any Major Prize Draw that occurs while you are a member.

What if I no longer want to receive Meerkat Mondays emails?

You can opt-out of marketing communications by unsubscribing from any marketing email you receive. This will not block transactional emails (e.g. entries, cancellation notices, redemption forms for prizes you’ve won). However, once Meerkat Mondays Membership finishes, you will no longer receive these transactional emails (unless you purchase another Eligible Product to re-activate your Meerkat Monday Membership).

When do the Major Prize Draws take place?

Major Prize Draws will be conducted by our partner, Loyalty.com.au at Anisimoff Legal, Suite 5/210 Central Coast Hwy, Erina NSW 2250 on 24 May 2021, 23 August 2021, 22 November 2021 and 21 February 2022.

Winners will be published on comparethemarket.com.au/meerkat-mondays/winners/.

What happens if I win a Major Prize Draw?

If you’ve won the MINI Cooper in a Major Prize Draw, we’ll send you an email with a redemption form that you’ll need to fill out to claim your prize. We’ll also call you to share the big news!

How does the Major Prize Draw work?

With every Eligible Purchase, you are automatically entered into any Major Prize Draw that occurs during your Meerkat Mondays Membership.

In each draw that you have entries for, you have the chance to win a MINI Cooper.

The more Eligible Products you buy from us, the more chances you have to win our weekly game and these Major Prize Draws.

If you win, we’ll send you an email with a redemption form that you’ll need to fill out to claim your prize. We’ll also call you to share the big news!

I received my entry. How do I play?

  1. Download the Compare the Market ‘Simples’ app or go to https://www.comparethemarket.com.au/meerkat-mondays/ and click ‘Go to Dashboard’ Create your Meerkat Mondays Member account if you haven’t already. You’ll need to use the same email you used when you obtained a quote for your product through our service. Each Monday, log into your Meerkat Mondays dashboard either through the Simples app or our website. From here, you can see how many entries you have available to play our weekly Meerkat Mondays game.
  2. On Mondays, click the ‘Play Now’ button from your dashboard.
  3. To play, simply click one of the picture frames to see if there’s a prize behind the frame. If you’re one of the lucky winners,  you’ll see instantly what you’ve won.
  4. Fill out the online redemption form to claim your prize! This form will display once you click the ‘Redeem Now’ button

Which Eligible Products can I purchase to join Meerkat Mondays?

To join Meerkat Mondays, you’ll need to purchase or take out one of the following Eligible Products:

  • health insurance (not Overseas Health Cover)
  • car insurance (not roadside assistance or Compulsory Third Party insurance)
  • a home loan
  • home and contents insurance
  • pet insurance
  • business insurance
  • travel insurance
  • life insurance (including life, life AO, total and permanent disability (TPD), trauma and child cover products)
  • income protection (including income protection, income protection AO and business expenses products)
  • home and contents insurance via our partner, Shielded Insurance Brokers.

How can I become a Meerkat Mondays Member?

It's easy!

  1. Make an Eligible Purchase
    Compare and purchase an Eligible Product on any day from Compare the Market online, by calling our consultants or through our handy Simples app.
    Make sure you use the correct email address when you obtain a quote for your product through our service and when you complete your purchase; this ensures your membership is assigned to the correct details and you are eligible to participate in Meerkat Mondays. If you don’t, we may not be able to verify your entry.
    By creating an account and playing Meerkat Mondays, you will be taken to have accepted the Meerkat Mondays Membership terms and conditions.
  2. Check your email for your entry
    Once your purchase is verified, we’ll send you an email to confirm your membership and tell you that you can play Meerkat Mondays. It may take up to 48 hours from when you purchase before you receive this email.
    Each Eligible Product grants you a membership where you can participate in Meerkat Mondays until 20 February 2022. Throughout your membership, you can play our game every Monday for your chance to win! We’ll send you a reminder email when your membership is about to expire.

Where can I see the prizes I’ve won?

We’ll send you an email with a copy of your prize’s details once you win.

I haven’t received my prize. Who do I contact?

If you’re expecting a prize, but it still hasn’t arrived, please contact our Meerkat Mondays Customer Support Team at [email protected] or call 1800 633 7528.

Please also check through the following scenarios:

You haven’t yet redeemed your prize

If you didn’t fill out a redemption form for your prize (which appears after you win your prize in the game), please contact the Meerkat Mondays Customer Support Team.

You have three months to supply your details after winning before your unredeemed prize goes into our unclaimed and un-won prize pool. However, we will reach out to you over this period to remind you that we require your details to get your prize to you.

The physical prize wasn’t delivered to your nominated address

If a physical prize has not been delivered, please contact our Meerkat Mondays Customer Support Team as we will need to verify this with JB Hi-Fi’s (our prize partner’s) delivery records. Contact our team on [email protected] or call 1800 633 7528.

The digital prize (gift voucher) didn’t come through to your email inbox

Please also double-check your junk and spam inboxes for a gift voucher from [email protected] If you still can’t see your gift voucher, please contact our Meerkat Mondays Customer Support Team.

I accidentally entered in an old (or incorrect) delivery address. What can I do?

Please contact our Meerkat Mondays Customer Support Team right away on [email protected] or call 1800 633 7528. We will do our best to change your delivery address.

Can I use my PO box for deliveries instead of my home address?

No, we don’t support PO box deliveries.

Which type of MINI Cooper could I win during the Major Prize Draw?

We’re giving away a MINI Cooper five-door hatch in chilli red with a black roof. Each MINI Cooper prize comes with automatic transmission.
The total prize value of each MINI Cooper prize is up to AU$41,168 and includes registration, Compulsory Third Party Insurance, stamp duty and dealer delivery charges (which may vary state by state).
Please note: Additional insurance, options, petrol and all other ancillary costs are the winner’s responsibility.

My prize is faulty or damaged. What do I do?

Please contact our Meerkat Mondays Customer Support Team on [email protected] or call 1800 633 7528 right away to let them know if your product has arrived faulty or damaged.

What happens if I don’t claim my prize?

If we don’t receive your details or you’re unable to confirm delivery after three months from winning, we’ll email you to let you know you’ve forfeited your prize. We’ll then place this prize into our unclaimed prize draw.
In the unclaimed prize draw, Meerkat Mondays Members who were eligible to win these unclaimed prizes under the relevant permit will have an automatic chance to win any unclaimed or un-won prizes.

When will I receive my prize?

Once you’ve filled out your online prize redemption form, we’ll process your win as soon as possible.
Voucher codes for digital prizes (e.g. a gift card) are automatically sent to your email inbox. Physical prizes (e.g. a TV) will take up to seven business days to reach your nominated delivery address.
Our prize partner, JB Hi-Fi, and their chosen courier will work as swiftly as possible during any postal delays affecting Australians.
If you’ve won a MINI Cooper from our Major Prize Draws, we’ll contact you to let you know via email and via your nominated phone number.

If I win a prize, can I win another?

Yes, you can! If you win a prize during our weekly game, check back the following Monday to have another go. If you purchased more than one Eligible Product through us, you could even play again on the same day for yet another chance to win.
In each Major Prize Draw that you have entries for, you can win a Mini Cooper. The more Eligible Products you buy, the more chances you have to win the Major Prize Draw.
Please note: You have one entry into any Major Prize Draw that occurs during your membership for every Eligible Product you purchase throughout the promotional period.
You’re also automatically in the draw for any unclaimed or un-won prizes.
