Stella Insurance is mission-led, authentically different and passionately pro-women. Stella has taken the first steps in creating a balance in a male-dominated industry by developing rewarding, flexible and competitive products designed with women in mind.
When you look to Stella, you’ll find a car insurance policy designed to suit the needs of women. This is because Stella sat down and listened to the concerns and ideas that matter to women, like their aspirations for products that have:
Stella offers competitively-priced comprehensive cover with premium benefits, optional extras and rewards for being a safe driver. You can adjust your agreed value and excess levels to reach a premium that works for you, as well as tailor your cover by choosing from a range of optional extras. Their comprehensive policy covers:
What’s more, you are covered for transport to your repairer’s destination if they’re a part of Stella’s Accredited Smash Repairer Network.
Optional extras for an additional premium include cover for roadside assistance, no-excess windscreen and car hire following an at-fault accident. Your cover will be subject to exclusions, restrictions and sub-limits so, for more details, check your policy’s Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).
Stella has created a comprehensive policy that covers you at a competitive price. With easy claims processes, streamlined policy documents and a simple yet comprehensive policy, you can rest easy knowing that you’re safe and secure with Stella.
With Stella, you can benefit from handy optional extras like roadside assistance, no-excess windscreen cover and a hire car if you’re at fault for an accident. These are all in addition to the standard features that come with the policy.
Stella has also partnered with Women and Girls’ Emergency Centre (WAGEC) and commits $5 from every new policy sold toward helping women through hard times, like homelessness and domestic violence. Together, WAGEC and Stella are on the road to support women and families in crisis.
You can pay for Stella car insurance with direct debit using a credit card. You can choose to pay for the full year or in monthly instalments. If you choose to pay for your car insurance monthly but miss a payment, Stella may cancel the policy if the policy is unpaid for one month or longer.
Stella car insurance does cover drivers under 25 years old. Listing drivers of certain ages on your policy can affect the cost of your car insurance, and if a driver under 25 years is driving during the time of an incident that leads to a car insurance claim with Stella, you may have to pay an additional excess.
Contact the Stella claims team by calling them on their 24/7 claims line. When you claim, make sure you have all the relevant documentation, information and receipts for your claim, including your policy number, details about what happened and of the people involved.
You may have to pay an excess depending on the nature of your claim. For instance, if you’re at fault for an accident or you’re unable to identify the at-fault party, you’ll likely need to pay an excess. If you’re able to identify the at-fault party, you may not need to pay an excess.
You can choose how much excess you’d like to pay, but keep in mind that the lower your excess payments are, the higher your premium will be.
You can cancel your policy at any time by giving Stella a call.
Furthermore, if you change your mind within the first 21 days of purchasing a policy and you haven’t made any claims, Stella will provide a full refund for your policy.
Unfortunately, Stella won’t cover your vehicle if you use it for ride-sharing services.
Like all major surgeries or health conditions, if your doctor says it’s safe for you to drive, you’ll be covered when you get back behind the wheel.
