Taking out travel insurance is crucial. Hopefully, nothing will go wrong on your travels, but if an incident occurs, the cost can be severe. ING’s travel insurance provides multiple levels of cover to suit different budgets, with additional options to provide greater flexibility.
When making a claim, you can contact ING by phone using numbers provides on your Certificate of Insurance (COI), or lodge a claim through ING’s website.
To assist your claim, gather as much information as you can and provide necessary documents; such as police reports, receipts and hospital bills.
There is a standard excess when making a claim, though you can choose to reduce your excess or eliminate it in exchange for a higher premium.
ING’s comprehensive and domestic policies insure travellers up to the age of 100. For annual multi-trip, Essential and Last Minute policies, applicants must be under 75 years old to be eligible for cover.
If you’re travelling with children or grandchildren under the age of 18, they’ll be covered under your policy at no extra cost. They can travel unaccompanied, but they must have an insurance policy taken out for them in this instance.
You can cancel your policy by contacting ING. ING offers a 14-day cooling-off period, so if you cancel your policy within that timeframe without making a claim, you’ll receive a full refund.
